Mono Twin
Mono Twin is the evolution of a concept created by designer Fried Ulber, first introduced in 1985: a candleholder and a vase sharing the same form. Originally released as two separate products, the design was available either as a candleholder or as a vase. For the first time, the new edition unites both functions in a single object. More than four decades after its original release, the design returns from the Mono archive. Its reduced form combines functionality with timeless design.
Crafted from stainless steel, Mono Twin follows a clear geometric design language, reduced to the essentials. Whether displayed individually or in compositions of varying heights, the objects create a distinct visual presence. A pleasant weight, a stable base and precise proportions define their character, alongside their materiality and function.
In just a few simple steps, Mono Twin transforms from a candleholder to a vase and vice versa. A rubber ring ensures the candleholder insert fits securely into the column, while a matching glass insert completes the vase function. It allows water to be used without the stainless steel coming into contact with it. Mono Twin presents itself either as a candleholder or a minimal vase for single flowers and delicate twigs. Mono Twin is available in two sizes (15.5 cm and 26.5 cm) and comes with both a candleholder insert and a vase insert, which can be interchanged to suit different needs or occasions.
