Mono x Possi Tool Rack

We have been cooking with Mono spoons in a Possi kitchen

The result is a steel symbiosis of minimalist design and functional precision. Born out of our collaboration with Possi Kitchen from Copenhagen, the wall rack combines high-quality materials with unique aesthetics. The 65 cm wide stainless steel shelf provides stable storage space, while seven specially developed hooks create space for Mono V serving cutlery and other utensils. The shelf has a unique ultra-matt finish, obtained through a special trowalizing process. 

 Mono x Possi Tool Rack is a limited edition inspired by our shared values of minimalism, craftsmanship and functionality, for those who value style and order in equal measure.

A whirlwind liaison between two partners who share a deep connection through design and a love of experimentation

At the beginning of 2023, we heard about the young label Possi and didn't hesitate to get in touch. Tableware and kitchen systems – a promising duet. A design connection was formed immediately. Mono and Possi speak the same design language: minimalism and functionality at the highest quality standards. This was followed by a first joint appearance with Mono products that same year, arranged in a Possi pop-up showroom in Berlin. It's a match! 

It quickly became clear to us that a collaborative project and a joint product should arise from this connection. After collective deliberations and product development, the time had come in June 2024: we presented our exclusive brand collabo for the first time as part of the 3daysofdesign festival in Copenhagen. Now the Mono x Possi Tool Rack is available in a limited edition and is another story told by the Mono-Possi friendship.

2 brands, 18 stainless steel elements, 1 look, in a limited edition

A special highlight is the extraordinary, uniform finish of the stainless steel. As part of the exclusive collaboration, the shelf and cutlery are given an unconventional surface treatment. The so-called trowalisation process - also known as barrel finishing - gives the stainless steel finish its uniform structure and unique, ultra-matt look. Trowalising, which is originally used on a large industrial scale, processes materials in a rotating drum filled with special granulate via friction to deburr sharp edges. 

The Mono x Possi Tool Rack release was only made possible thanks to an intensive exchange with the originator of this technique, the company Walther Trowal, based in Haan in North Rhine-Westphalia, just 14 kilometres from the Mono company headquarters in Mettmann. Together with Mono, the experts from Walther Trowal worked closely together to test different ways of applying trowalising to the dimensions of the collaboration products. 

The experiment was a success! A closer look reveals a laser engraving on one of the seven hooks, which seals the triumphant collaboration between Mono and Possi - the hallmark of a partnership that opens up new design perspectives for kitchen and cooking fans.
